Ethnic Weddings, a wedding at Renaissance

Southern California is a center for Ethnic weddings.  Although many of my clients have lived here most of their lives, parents and grandparents have their roots elsewhere.  Weddings, first and foremost represent families coming together to become one.  Mixing old and new traditions is very popular among many couples, both for the experience, and to pay tribute to family customs and past generations.   Often clients choose to have the best of both worlds and combine two ceremonies.  This is where the photography becomes fun.  It’s a long day, but, very interesting to see and photograph.  Edward and Nora had their reception for 400+ of family and friends at Renaissance in Glendale.  Armenian, Greek, Turkish, Middle Eastern, or Indian.  If your planing a large ethnic wedding, Renaissance is worth a look, and the food is fantastic!

Day in the Life family portrait album

I just finished designing a new style of family portrait album.  The newest digital albums allow custom designed and personalized covers as well a slew of options for page textures and finishes.  Vivian and the gang are restoring a California Bungalow in a historic section of Los Angeles.  For their album I decided to use textures and design styles that relate to their personalities and lifestyle.  Children grow up so fast and their personalities seem to change even faster.  One of the great features of this style of album is their portability.  Once designed they can be reproduced easily and in multiple sizes.  We can now offer extra copies that can be given as gifts to grandparents and saved as keepsakes.

If your interested in the idea of  “Day in the Life” photo shoot or just some updated casual family portraits, drop us an email and we can set up your session.  Enjoy!!

And here is the intro page with the cast of characters.  I try to keep these family sessions on the casual side and
make them fun and stress free.  When kids are young the attention span is short, very short.  By keeping things
lively and playful, we can get a lot more interaction and capture a bit of their personality.
